Bass Phillip Wine Dinner

On 12th August at NOMAD Melbourne, we will host one of Australia’s most revered and iconic wineries for an exclusive dinner, Bass Phillip.

Founded in the 1970s in South Gippsland, the estate was a pioneer of the region and became a benchmark for Victorian cool-climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It is now considered amongst the pinnacle of the country’s vinous offerings and stands shoulder to shoulder on the world stage alongside the finest labels from Burgundy and beyond.

Under new stewardship and a revitalised vision, Bass Phillip continues its legacy of producing detailed, expressive, terroir driven wines that are amongst the highest awarded and eagerly collected in Australia.

The heart of Bass Phillip are three unique expressions of Pinot Noir; ‘Estate’, ‘Premium’, and the ultra-rare ‘Reserve’. Guests will have a truly unique opportunity to taste all three side by side, offering a compelling exploration of site, style, and precision.

Alongside this highlight, a broader selection of wines from the estate will also be poured, showcasing the depth and diversity of Bass Phillip’s philosophy. This includes two vintages of Estate Chardonnay and outstanding examples of Gamay and Nebbiolo.

Your host for the evening will be Ned Goodwin, Master of Wine, one of Australia’s most respected wine voices and a global ambassador of Bass Phillip.

The wines will be paired with a bespoke menu created by NOMAD head-chef, Jeremy Swann, with each dish designed to complement the character and nuance of these remarkable wines.
